Gedling Miners Welfare Reveal Their New 1st Team Manager
Gedling Miners Welfare FC is pleased to announce the appointment of Craig Maddison to the position of 1st Team Manager with immediate effect.
Ex Grimsby Town Professional Maddison quoted “I’m delighted to be given this great opportunity to manage such a club like Gedling MW. The set up is 1st class and to have the support of such a forward thinking Chairman as Vic Hulme and his great committee made this decision all the easier for me. I am really looking forward to passing the knowledge I have gained from working with some experienced managers at all my previous clubs to the players and our forthcoming season in the new East Midlands Counties League excites me. I still have to look at putting my coaching team in place which I will do over the next few weeks and further announcements on this will be placed on our website once we have them in place. But for now the hard work starts for me, ensuring we have a settled squad in time for August, I am already planning to start Pre-Season training on the 1st July in preparation for what looks like a season start of 9th August (to be confirmed – Editor). We already have 3 preseason game arranged and would look to add another 4 to that, although at this stage it’s too early to add any further details.”
Chairman Vic Hulme added “I am delighted Craig took up our offer as 1st team manager, he has all the credentials we were looking for in a manager and I’m sure he will do very well in this new challenging role, we as a committee offer Craig all our help and support and wish him every success for the forthcoming season.”
